HSG Wins Environmental Business Journal Achievement Award

The Environmental Business Journal (EBJ) is a powerhouse of business market intelligence produced from careful industry research and direct interviews with leading environmental industry executives, analysts, and insiders. In 2022, the EBJ designated Herndon Solutions Group (HSG) as a Business Achievement Gold Medal Award winner in the “Firms $10 Million+” category. HSG received the award for exceeding revenues of $30 million, an increase of more than 30% and graduating as a small business in several categories.  

In 2022 HSG led environmental services on behalf of multiple federal government customers, including NASA at the Kennedy Multiuser Spaceport in Florida and NASA Langley Research Center in Virginia. Work included environmental impact assessments for critical NASA programs like the pending Mars Mission Sample Return Mission and the NASA Agency Wide Master Plan. Simultaneously, HSG won multiple task order awards from the Bureau of Land Management and DOI to assess federal properties and survey abandoned mine sites using innovative technologies such as aerial drones. Concurrently, HSG greatly expanded municipality support for the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), assisting businesses in meeting critical water conservation mandates. HSG continues to grow outside the environmental services categories, including occupational health, aerospace medicine and industrial hygiene.  

The HSG team was a key member of the successful NASA Artemis space launch in November 2022. HSG was also selected as the 2021 Small Business Administration’s Category 8(a) Graduate of the Year for both the State of Nevada and SBA Region IX.
